Support Us

why we need your support…

As a self-help group OSSHG differs from corporately managed organisations or charities as it has an intrinsic motivational drive with passionate advocates championing the charities mission and goals. It is victim centred, managed by victims for victims. Your support is crucial to the sustainability of the organisation and its programmes that supports so many in our community.

We are currently fundraising to install a passenger lift into our premises before December 2018.

Make a Donation

If you would like to make a donation, please choose the most convenient method outlined below

Single Donation

Make a single donation today and help us make a difference to those affected by the ‘Troubles’.

Regular Donation

By pledging a regular donation we can make your money go further and help more people.

Cheque or Postal Order

Please make payable to ‘Omagh Support & Self Help Group’ and send to Friends of Bridge Centre, 5A Holmview Avenue, Omagh, Co.Tyrone, N.Ireland, BT79 0AQ

Payroll Giving

We accept donations through the ‘Give as you earn’ scheme, which many employers offer, so check with your HR department. This way, you can give a regular, tax free donation to support our work.
It’s taken before tax, meaning that every £1 you donate will only cost you 80p. It means that you end up giving more for less!

Gifts In-kind

If you are a company, you could support our work by donating products or services in kind. We regularly hold fundraising events, which often rely on prizes for ballots or auctions.
If you would like to help us in any way, please contact the Sharon on 028 82259877.

Gift Aid

WHAT IS GIFT AID?

Gift Aid gives you an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.

Gift Aid is an income tax relief designed to benefit charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs). If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your charity donations by 25%, because the charity can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift – at no extra cost to you.

HOW DOES GIFT AID WORK?

The process is really simple.
All you need to do is fill out a Gift Aid Declaration form. This is a statement from you to the charity confirming that you want to donate through Gift Aid and receive tax back on your donation. Charities don’t pay tax on most types of income, which is why the tax paid on financial gifts can be claimed back.

Thank you for your support

Don’t forget to complete a gift aid declaration form to increase the value of your gift by 25p for every £1 you give. You can download a Gift aid form here
